Album: 1834-НГJulian 1049 / KM C#168.1 / Uzdenikov 1555 As with the 1842/1 rouble, there are numerous and spectacular die cracks showing on this one. Changed: 08/26/2006

Album: 1842/1-АЧ (overdate)Julian 1087 / KM C#168.1 / Uzdenikov 1603 Of the catalogs at my disposal, only Krause-Mishler and R.W. Julian mention the 1842/1 overdate explicitly (maybe Bitkin does?). What looks like doubling on the eagle feathers is actually heavy die polish. The entire coin is remarkable for the numerous die cracks and polish marks. Changed: 05/28/2009

Album: 1843-АЧJulian 1095 / KM C#168.1 / Uzdenikov 1614 This coin probably grades VF-20; however, the edges are pretty beaten up. Hard to say if any of the rim dings were due to the manufacturing process (i.e. edge lettering). Changed: 08/26/2006

Album: 1854-НІJulian 1132 / KM C#168.1 / Uzdenikov 1711 Variety with 7 buds. This one should grade AU-55 without any trouble. There is a touch of wear on the high points (crowns, feathers), so I wouldn't say it was uncirculated. As far as I can tell, it is also one of the rare exceptions among coins of this age in that it was never cleaned. The soft gray-violet patina is quite pleasing. Changed: 01/03/2007
