This is the rarer of the two mintmaster varieties for this year. Some catalogs (Severin, for example) state that this variety is extremely rare; others think that it is actually only scarce, i.e. a little more common. I tend to agree with the latter (after all, I own three of them!) -- although, like 1911, it seems to be difficult to find specimens in as good a shape as this one.
